Vendors night at the OKG

So, Monday night Jen and I trooped to the Knitting Guild Vendor's night meeting for October.  We arrived early and I am now Officially a Guild member!  Anyone seen The GUILD internet series, by any chance?  LOL.  Well it was nothing like that but there were lots of vendors from around town and from farms around the area too.  Alpacas and Sheep were represented, I bought some lovely brown alpaca roving to spin and a gorgeous ball of hand-dye...

After what feels like forever and missing the first 3 weeks of the colourwork knit-along, my supply of Palette fingering weight yarn in many colours is finally here from Knitpicks!

I also pickup a bunch of supplies including new circulars, extra interchangeable cables and needles and a ball winder which is super!  The hand-held handle of the ball winder doesn't seem to stay...

Knitting Guild meeting

I think I am quite intrigued and definitely interested in trying the new MYSTERY colourwork knit-along project being posted on the knitpicks community forums..... I looks like it would be a great way to get into the whole colour madness that is approaching!   The pattern is released a bit at a time (every Friday) and some new rows are made available.  Everyone knits that portion and then shows off their handiwork.  This has great possibilities, ...

Thanks so much Paula for the lovely B-day yarn!  It is this great handspun and handpainted wool from a farm in Cape Breton.  I've got two large skeins, one blue stripes, one orange stripes and I'll have to decide carefully what i end up knitting with them.  A moste excellent present that goes great with my new Kaffe Fassett's Pattern library book, another gorgeous b-day present!   I know colourwork is in my near future...

Waiting for the stash to arrive....

I can't wait for the arrival of my stash and tools from knitpicks.  It was shipped on Tuesday and now it's friday.  I guess it should get here early next week?  I've ordered a yarn winder, some needles, lace blocking wires, a pile of single skeins of colourful sock yarn for some great fair isle knitting and a 5 skeins of lace (all related colours) and a stack of brown linen to knit up into an awesome wrap/top.  Yay!  I've also recently disc...
